Cloud Restore & Failover
Acronis Cloud Recovery spins up your servers in the Acronis cloud within minutes of an on-premise failure, keeping your business operational while local infrastructure is restored.
Key highlights
- Servers spin up in Acronis Cloud after an on-premise failure
- RTO under 4 hours for critical workloads, tested, not estimated
- Automatic failback when on-premise infrastructure is restored
- Network configuration mirrored for seamless cutover
- Monthly failover test included in Sentire service
When your server room fails, your business doesn't have to
Traditional disaster recovery asks you to wait, for replacement hardware to arrive, for data to restore from tape or USB, for configuration to be rebuilt from memory. Cloud restore changes the model: your servers are already replicated to the cloud, and when on-premise infrastructure fails, they're activated within minutes. Your staff keep working while the physical problem is fixed in the background.
How Acronis Cloud Recovery works
Your servers are backed up to Acronis Cloud with sufficient frequency to meet your RPO (Recovery Point Objective). When a failure is declared, Sentire activates the cloud instances, your servers run in Acronis Cloud with the same IP addresses and configurations as on-premise. Staff reconnect and work continues. When local infrastructure is restored, data syncs back and control returns to your site.
What Sentire manages
Replication to Acronis Cloud
We configure continuous or scheduled replication of your critical servers, physical or virtual, to Acronis Cloud. Replication frequency is matched to your RPO: a 1-hour RPO means replication runs every hour.
Failover activation
When a failover is declared, by you or automatically via monitoring, Sentire activates cloud instances within the agreed RTO window. Network configuration, IP addressing, and application settings are pre-configured so activation is fast.
Tested monthly
Failover that's never been tested is a plan, not a guarantee. Sentire runs monthly failover tests for critical workloads and measures actual activation time against your RTO target. You receive a monthly report confirming pass or fail.
Failback when on-premise is restored
Once your on-premise infrastructure is rebuilt, Acronis synchronises data changes made during cloud operation back to your physical servers. Failback is managed by Sentire to ensure no data is lost during the transition.
Part of Sentire's disaster recovery service
Cloud restore works alongside disaster recovery planning, the plan defines when and how to invoke failover, and cloud restore is the technical mechanism that executes it. Together they give your business a tested, end-to-end response to a site-level failure. For businesses that need faster recovery, Sentire also designs hybrid cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure as an alternative failover target.
Could your business survive a 4-hour outage?
For most businesses, the answer determines how much they invest in recovery capability. Sentire will work with your leadership to define acceptable RTO and RPO, then build the technical solution that meets those targets within your budget.

Server Backup
On-premise server backup using Acronis or Veeam. Image-based backup with incremental scheduling and retention policies. Covers Windows Server, Linux, and hypervisors.
Cloud Backup
Off-site backup to Azure or Acronis Cloud. Ensures data survives a site disaster. Also covers Microsoft 365 which Microsoft does NOT back up natively.
Hyper-V & VMware Backup
Acronis Cyber Protect backs up Hyper-V and VMware virtual machines at the hypervisor level, agentless, incremental, and replicated off-site for complete VM-level recovery.
Disaster Recovery Planning
Defining RTO and RPO, documenting recovery procedures, designing failover architecture. A written DR plan that actually works when needed.
Restore Testing and Verification
Monthly restore tests on every backup job. Documented evidence that backups actually work. Most businesses never test until a real disaster. Sentire tests every month.
