Time and attendance data that actually runs your payroll
Paper timesheets, sign-in registers, and manually maintained Excel sheets are slow, inaccurate, and easy to manipulate. ZKTeco BioTime connects to all your biometric access control terminals, fingerprint readers, face recognition devices, and card readers, and aggregates attendance data centrally, applying your shift rules, leave policies, and overtime calculations automatically. The output feeds your payroll process without manual data entry.
Works with existing ZKTeco hardware
BioTime is ZKTeco's central management software and works with the same fingerprint, face recognition, and card reader terminals deployed for access control. If Sentire has already installed ZKTeco devices at your premises, adding BioTime adds time and attendance management without any new hardware.
What BioTime manages
Attendance tracking
Every clock-in and clock-out event from every terminal is captured in BioTime in real time. Late arrivals, early departures, and absences are flagged automatically against the assigned shift schedule for each employee.
Shift and overtime calculation
BioTime applies your shift rules, grace periods, and overtime thresholds automatically. Regular hours, overtime, and weekend or public holiday premiums are calculated per employee and per pay period, ready for payroll processing.
Leave management
Approved leave is entered into BioTime and applied automatically against attendance records, so approved annual leave doesn't appear as an absence in the payroll report. Leave balances are tracked and visible to managers and employees.
Payroll report export
At the end of each pay period, BioTime generates a payroll report in formats compatible with common HR and payroll systems, including Sage, HRIS Kenya, and custom CSV formats. Hours, overtime, and deductions are presented per employee, ready for processing.
Multi-site management
BioTime consolidates attendance data from terminals across multiple locations into a single management console. Head office HR sees attendance across all sites without needing access to individual site systems.
Self-service portal for managers and employees
BioTime includes a web-based self-service portal where employees can view their own attendance records, check leave balances, and submit leave requests. Managers approve leave, view team attendance, and run reports for their department, without raising a ticket to HR for every query. This reduces the HR administration load significantly in businesses with more than 20 employees.

ZKTeco BioTime is deployed alongside biometric access control installation as part of Sentire's CCTV and access control service. The same ZKTeco terminals that control which doors staff can open are the terminals that capture their attendance, one hardware investment serving two functions.
